Haines, Alaska

Early morning in Haines Alaska!

Parked at the Oceanside RV Park

We spotted this mural on our walk through town. It shows many symbols of Alaskan life. The snow-capped mountains against a blue sky, Eagles, Ravens, Fireweed (wild flowers found along roadsides throughout Alaska), Salmon, Mosquitos...

We shared a lunch of crab salad sandwiches on the picnic table at our campground!

Alyce, carrying her clean laundry

On a drive around the town, we found lots of beautiful sights.
We learned that Fireweed is one of the first plants to grow after a fire. This picture is shot with Fireweed in the foreground.

The boat in the harbor with the tree growing out of it caught our eye!

Hi Guys. I always love the old boat pictures tho it's a bit sad to see them on the permanent hard. I liked the "tree boat". I'm looking for the old style Monterey clipper, a diesel powered displacement hull fishing boat looking vessel. sweet!
great pix Terr
